Date: Saturday, April 6, 2019
Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Location: Vision Forward Association
Address: 912 N. Hawley Road, Milwaukee WI
Audience: College students with visual impairments
Join us for a discussion group designed for college students with vision impairments.
Although vision impairment affects each person differently, students share some unique challenges like:
- accessing printed materials
- utilizing classroom visual aids
- navigating campus
- cooking or participating in recreational events
- using computers and other assistive technology
This group offers an opportunity to discuss important topics with other students and staff from Vision Forward. In addition, we’ll explore ways to better manage daily college life by using adaptive technology, exchanging information about available resources and discussing personal challenges that often affect students with vision loss.
The discussion group is designed to be a social, informative and confidential experience. Limited transportation is available—please mention any needs when registering.
