More than Meets the Eye

Client working with low vision optometrist.

Date: Wednesday, October 21, 2020
Time: 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm

Audience: The community is welcome to join us!

Imagine what life would be like with limited sight. Working and completing various aspects of your job might seem impossible. However, Jeb’s story demonstrates that with the right tools and training, the possibilities are endless for people with diminished or no vision to continue to successfully work and build their careers.

Join us on Wednesday, October 21, for our More than Meets the Eye experience, to meet Jeb, Professor and Associate Chair of the Graduate Program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He will share how he continues to succeed as a math professor living with Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP), a hereditary eye disease that leads to the degeneration of the retina.

In just 20 minutes, you will hear firsthand how Jeb maximizes the limited vision he has and uses technology to continue teaching. We are confident his story will leave a lasting impression.

Sign up to hear Jeb’s story on Wednesday, October 21, at 12:00 pm (Central Time) by registering with this link.

Whether you are new to Vision Forward or have been a supporter for years, we know you will find our More than Meets the Eye experience to be inspiring as you prepare to join us for our Dining in the Dark at Home event on November 1.
