More than Meets the Eye

Photo of Betty working with Rose Visser, Vision Forward Occupational Therapist

Date: Wednesday, February 24, 2021
Time: 2:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Audience: The community is welcome to join us!

Details:

Betty Larsen noticed a change in her vision about three years ago due to Macular Degeneration and Glaucoma. Today, at the age of 91, Betty is left with just enough vision to see the shapes of things, but no detail. It hasn’t been easy, but she now knows she is not alone and is learning how to make the most of her situation.

To hear Betty share her story join us on Wednesday, February 24, for our 20 minute More than Meets the Eye experience. You’ll also meet Dr. Heather Hinson, Vision Forward’s optometrist specializing in low vision. Dr. Hinson will speak about Macular Degeneration, the leading cause of vision loss, affecting more than 10 million Americans, and how people like Betty receive the tools and education to assist them on their journey with vision loss.

Sign up to hear Betty’s story on Wednesday, February 24, at 2:30 pm (Central Time) with the form below.

Whether you are new to Vision Forward or have been a supporter for years, we know you will find our More than Meets the Eye experience to be informative and inspiring.
