Digital Content Specialist
Vision Forward, a cutting-edge non-profit organization, is recognized as the premier agency serving people of all ages with vision loss in Wisconsin. We currently have a career opportunity for a part-time Digital Content Specialist.
Vision Forward is expanding its high quality and accessible assistive technology training through online videos, podcasts, and live sessions. These sessions are both geared towards professionals working in the vision rehabilitation field and individuals who are blind or visually impaired. We are seeking a creative part-time support person to provide video production and editing, marketing (including social media), data collection, and outcomes tracking. This position has opportunities to be remote or work on-site.
Core Functions:
- Expand Vision Forward’s online video programming and new audio podcasts to serve a national audience.
- Promote programming and podcasts through a variety of channels, including social media and email newsletters. Utilize knowledge of search engine optimization to increase awareness of content.
- Produce and edit various video projects focusing on viewer watch times and viewer engagement. Tasks include: creating title and motion graphics, formatting images to use in videos and performing color corrections, and editing audio tracks.
- Track the number of video program viewers, including collecting data on the region of the country where our viewers reside.
- Identify and target key audiences to grow viewership.
- Assist in developing a survey of consumers that will identify how their knowledge of assistive technology has improved because of Vision Forward’s programming.
- Conduct surveys and gather data for review.
- Support and maintain the new agency learning media platform.
Pay and Benefits:
- 25-28 hours per week
- $25.00 – $28.00 per hour based on experience
- Paid Time Off – 1 week after 1 year, an additional week on year 5
- Holidays (closed, but not paid) – New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial and Labor Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and the Friday after, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
- Company provided technology for use during working hours
- Weekends off
The perfect candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent experience in communications, marketing, video production, film, or a related field is preferred
- Experience with Adobe products, including Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Experience with Final Cut or similar editing software, such as Avid
- Timeliness and ability to follow production deadlines
- Graphic design skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions and directions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Comply with confidentiality policy
