Our Volunteer Opportunities
Are you looking to share your time and make a difference in the lives of people with vision loss? Here are some ways we’re looking for support:
Become a Camp Counselor at the Rainbow Day Camp (Monday, July 19 – Thursday, July 22 | 8:00 am to 5:00 pm): We are looking for reliable and energetic volunteers ready to assist as camp counselors and help youth by guiding them through various physical activities. Activities include: beep baseball, kayaking, fishing, gardening, etc. Individuals that are college aged or have experience as a camp counselor or working with children and youth preferred. Small Community Groups: Gather your colleagues or classmates to complete a one-time project at Vision Forward. Some ideas include campus beautification, sanitizing office spaces, and so much more!
Event Support: Provide prep and day-of event support for our upcoming Dining in the Dark fundraising event to be held Thursday, November 4!
Steps to Becoming a Volunteer:
- Submit our online inquiry form.
- Complete a brief in-person or phone interview.
- Fill out our volunteer application and background check forms.
- Attend orientation and/or training.
- Get started!
