Responding to a Family Member’s Vision Loss

June 1 | 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Categories:

What do I do? Responding to a family member or loved ones vision loss

When an individual becomes visually impaired, it has an impact on all of those who are close to them.osss

If someone you care about has experienced a significant decrease in vision, it can cause you to feel confused and frustrated about how to respond.  What can you say to be supportive? When should you help and not help? What about your own feelings of sadness and loss? This meeting will address the concerns of those who care about someone with vision loss.

Vision Forward social worker, Erica Weise, and Director of Adult Rehabilitation Services, Cory Ballard, will lead the discussion and provide practical information on this important issue.

Note on Parking: Parking is available in the front lot. If our front lot is full, please park in side lot, which is one driveway North of main entrance.

Please RSVP by May 25, as space is limited!
