Havah’s Story

Havah Fleisner, who was diagnosed with Stargardt’s Macular Degeneration at age 9, visited Vision Forward after her diagnosis. “When many people told me we should leave my private school, Vision Forward encouraged me to stay, because they could help provide support to us. Both of my siblings also have Stargardt’s.”

“Learning how to navigate technology and becoming independent is a really difficult journey, but having a resource like Vision Forward has been very helpful for my siblings and I.”

Havah proudly represents the State of Wisconsin as United States of America’s Teen 2024! Her platform for the United States of America’s Teen 2024 was, “Through Her Eyes: Living Life Legally Blind.
