Recently two of our incredible Vision Forward Teachers of the Visually Impaired, Tina Mekeel and Katie Griffin, acted as guest speakers for two different organizations.
These two experts have been sharing their knowledge with professionals around the world, including at last summer’s International AER Conference (Association for Education & Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired). Their presentations, “Buckle Up! Let’s Explore the Belt Cane” and “Ready! Set! Go! Learning Through Movement with the Belt Cane,” were a big hit!
More recently, they presented at the Orientation & Mobility Online Symposium through Allied Independence, discussing “The Pediatric Belt Cane: A Consideration for the O&M Toolbox.” Their live presentation reached an amazing 332 viewers from across the globe!
We’re so proud of the impact they’re making in the field! #VisionForward #OandM #Inclusion #Education #BlindnessAwareness #visualimpairedchildren #pediatricvisualimpairment
