Vision Forward provides comprehensive, high-quality eye care services for the whole family, starting at age 3. We offer comprehensive eye exams, prescriptions for eyeglasses, and contact lens fittings.
As part of our commitment to eye health throughout the lifespan, Vision Forward is pleased to offer individualized care that addresses a wide range of conditions, including macular degeneration, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, low vision, and dry eye syndrome. We also specialize in low vision eye exams that help you make the most of your remaining vision.

Dr. Heather Hinson
Dr. Heather Hinson is an optometrist who has been providing low vision services and routine eye care in Milwaukee for over 35 years. She received advanced low vision rehabilitation training through an externship at the Minneapolis Society for the Blind. She has been providing optometric low vision assessments at Vision Forward Association for over 26 years and has recently joined Vision Forward’s Adult Rehab Team full time.
It is Dr. Hinson’s goal to educate her patients about their vision loss and to help them remain independent and productive with the help of magnification and referral for assessment and training in the use of advanced non-optical tools and techniques. Dr. Hinson is proud to be part of a team of professionals providing comprehensive low vision and vision rehabilitation services in Southeastern Wisconsin. She brings a patient-centered approach, with personalized, attentive care for all members of your family, ages 3 and above.
